The Rotary Club of Knights-Pendragon meeting took place at the Belgravia Bowling Club in Bedfordview.

The club, with guest speaker Mr Michael Sears, discussed applied mathematics to the random and fantasy world of detective novels.

Mr Spears has spent many years in the acedemic environment of Wits University. He helped students to collaborate with others and bring out the best creative application of their mathematical theories.

According to Mr Andy Stevenson, “The Rotarians learnt that although the partners shared the writing, no fault lines of style were apparent, but they could well imagine the jostling by each to write the last line of a book.”
