A man was arrested after he was caught stealing from a parked truck in Yeoville.
This incident occurred when the owner of the truck stepped out of the vehicle to go inside a shop.
“The owner of the vehicle had parked his car and had gone inside a shop. When he returned he saw three males offloading goods at the back of his vehicle. When he approached them, two of them managed to flee but he grabbed the third suspect,” said Constable Thabo Malatji of the Yeoville SAPS.
The owner of the vehicle alerted the police and the man was arrested.
“He is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
