Crawford Italia in Bedfordview celebrated its official opening on Friday, February 21, at the the Italian Club in Bedfordview.
The event was attended by founding students, parents, teachers and distinguish guests to.
The talents of Crawford students were displayed when they entertained guests with a Marimba ensemble.
After the speeches, a ribbon cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the school as well as the unveiling of a plaque that honoured the event and the founding date to future scholars at Crawford Italia.
Mr Jaco Lotz, the managing director of Crawford Schools said, “We thank the CEO of ADvTECH Schools Division Mr Frank Thompson, the COO of ADvTECH Schools Division Alex Isaakis, the Italian Ambassador in Harare Mr Enrico de Agostini, the Consul General of Italy in Johannesburg Gabriele di Muzio, the Principal of Crawford Italia Mr Owen Kuyper, the parents, students and guests for making the evening such a wonderful success.”
