Sisters dance against rhino poaching

The Dance to be Wild initiative was also directed at empowering South African children to take ownership of their wildlife heritage through dance, enhancing social skills development and cohesion at a grass roots level.

Sisters Tatijana and Vesna Ignjatov from Bishop Bavin Primary School took part in the Dance to be Wild freestyle competition on March 21.

The competition, an initiative by the South African and International Ballroom and Latin American Dancers, was aimed at supporting the fight against rhino poaching with the funds raised going to to rhino rehabilitation.

The Dance to be Wild initiative was also directed at empowering South African children to take ownership of their wildlife heritage through dance, enhancing social skills development and cohesion at a grass roots level.

The initiative is an platform for South African and international dancers to contribute to the effective sustainability of wildlife resources, making a meaningful contribution towards anti-poaching initiatives in Africa.
