Police nab three for theft

Three suspects, aged 23, 24 and 25, were arrested for burglary and theft.

The incidents occurred in Fawcus Street in Jeppestown.

“A 27-year-old man who works as a security guard alleged that he heard a noise outside the building he works at and went to investigate. He said he saw two men jumping out of a broken window and disappear into the darkness,” said Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, from the Jeppe SAPS.

Later, when the guard investigated, he realised that a two-metre cable had been stolen.

“He informed the police and later, three suspects were spotted in the vicinity. They were arrested and taken to the Jeppe SAPS where they were detained. They will appear in court soon,” said W/O Munyai.
