A man was arrested for being in possession of a hijacked vehicle in Yeoville.
The incident occurred at the corner of Raleigh and Bedford streets.
“Officers received a call from a tracking company regarding the signal of a hijacked vehicle. The vehicle was reported as hijacked at the Pretoria Central SAPS,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS. According to Const Malatji, the officers recovered the vehicle in Yeoville with one occupant still inside the vehicle.
“The suspect was arrested and detained at the Yeoville Police Station. He will face charges of being in possession of a hijacked vehicle. He is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
