Enjoy the holiday with sport
Children can enjoy football, netball and chess at Bertrams Park, located at the corner of Ascot and Derby roads.
Children can head to the Bertrams Park, David Webster Multipurpose Centre or Bertha Solomon Recreation Centre for some fun this week.
The City of Johannesburg’s Region F Sport and Recreation Department, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo and the Gauteng Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Department started a holiday programme on March 31.
Children can enjoy football, netball and chess at Bertrams Park, located at the corner of Ascot and Derby roads. Organisers are providing arts, crafts and culture activities, volleyball, netball, chess and indigenous games at the David Webster Multipurpose Centre. This park is located at the corner of Beelaerts and Princes streets in Troyeville.
These activities are also being provided at the Bertha Solomon Recreation Centre in Jeppestown.
The purpose of the programme is to ensure children are safe during the holidays and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The programme, targeted at children mainly between the ages of six and 14, continues until April 4.
