The Bedfordview SAPS arrested a woman for the fraudulent use of a card on Monday, April 7.
The woman went to a retail outlet with the intention of buying several items. When the on-duty teller scanned her card to make the transaction, she realised the card provided by the woman did not contain the same information as that on the data system.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, after confirming that the card was being used fraudulently, the suspect was arrested.
The suspect appeared in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court on April 9. @BedfordJourno
