The Friends of Modderfontein Library had a book sale to raise funds for the library.

The sale took place on Saturday, April 5, and residents showed a great interest as books were flying off the shelves.

Many book donations were received and were quickly bought by keen customers. The local ward councillor, Clr Darren Bergman, visited the book sale and interacted with residents at the sale.

“The library was busy, with new members signing up and families exchanging books,” said Mr Dale Cherrington from the Friends of Modderfontein.

Story Time also took place for the first time since it moved from being held on Fridays to being held on Saturdays between 10am and 11am.
