While Edenvale appeared to be quiet over the Easter holiday period, police officers worked hard to ensure the safety of residents.
“Officers attended to two incidents of robbery,” said the acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts.
The first incident occurred when a woman was followed from Greenstone Crescent Shopping Centre and the other took place at a business on Harris Road.
Two serious accidents were also attended too, but luckily there were no fatalities.
Over the long weekend, officers from the Edenvale SAPS arrested six people on drug-related charges as well as six motorists for driving under the influence of alcohol.
“Five of the drug arrests were made on Friday night, April 18. One car guard in the CBD was arrested and charged with dealing in narcotics,” said Lt Col Roberts.
