Three suspects were arrested for kidnapping and murder in Cleveland on April 28.
According to the spokesperson of the SAPS Hillbrow Cluster, Constable Thabo Malatji, the police received a complaint regarding a kidnapping and a murder over the weekend.
“It is alleged that three men caught a man who was attempting to break into a vehicle. A security guard saw him and he tried to flee but a group of men caught him and assaulted him. He was taken to hospital where he later died,” said Const Malatji.
He said SAPS members are investigating a case of murder. “Three suspects were later arrested and are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon. More arrests are expected to be made,” said Const Malatji. He appealed to residents not to take the law into their own hands and report all criminal activities to the police. @JoburgJourno
