Webster Park hosts D9 semi-finals
Troyeville Primary played host to the Johannesburg East District D9 Volleyball semi-finals, which took place on May 10 at the David Webster Park.
The semi-finals featured Troyeville Primary, Kensington Secondary School, Summerwood School, Midrand High, Ebony School, Queens Park High, St Vincent, Dominican and Yeoville Boys.
The schools competed in the volleyball U/11, U/13 and U/17 boys and girls categories.
The chairperson of the Johannesburg East District, Mr Nkosilathi Moyo said, “This has been a successful tournament hosted by Troyeville Primary. The winners of the semi-finals will progress to the finals of the Johannesburg East District D9 Volleyball finals, which will take place on June 20 at Webster Park.”
“The competition this year has had a high standard when compared to previous years. There were some close results, but overall I am happy with the tournament. We are looking forward to the finals,” said Mr Moyo. @JoziReporter
