39 people were arrested in and around Yeoville for various crimes over the weekend.
The arrests follow a series of crime prevention operations around the Yeoville policing precinct.
“The arrests were for crimes ranging from business robbery, possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, theft, robbery, assaults, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of dagga, fraud, dealing in liquor without a license, being in the country illegally and theft out of a motor vehicle,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
According to Const Malatji, most of the suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon. @JoburgJourno
