A man was arrested for a house robbery in Yeoville.
The arrest took place at the corner of Eckstein and Bezuidenhout streets on Tuesday, July 1.
“It is alleged that the victim was in her home when she heard a knock at the door. When she opened the door, three men appeared and forced themselves inside the house. A firearm was pointed at her,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
According to Const Malatji, the suspects tied her hands and pushed a sock into her mouth before robbing her of money, bank cards and cheques.
“They left her tied up inside the bathroom. A suspect was arrested and is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
More arrests are expected soon. @JoburgJourno
