Jeppe SAPS visits Park Cottages

Blankets from China City in Doornfontein, juice from Newport in New Doornfontein, bread from JC Bakery in Doornfontein and paint and groceries from province were handed over.

Although receiving a bit more on Mandela Day, Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, the Jeppe SAPS communications officer, said police officers visit this home and other places in the precinct regularly.

“We visit homes like these often to make sure the residents are fine. They know us well here,” he said.

Residents also received a special treat from Chloe Grove (9), who bought sweets for the residents using her own pocket money.

W/O Munyai, who celebrates his birthday on Mandela Day as well, thanked everyone who made the day possible.
