Chinese Community Police Forum donates to fire victims

A total of 67 victims of a recent fire at an informal settlement were the recipients of goods donated by the Chinese CPF on Mandela Day.

The handover took place at the Cleveland SAPS in conjunction with police officers, management and youth desk members.

Blankets, portable radios and food parcels were donated to residents of the Jumpers Informal Settlement in Cleveland.

Residents were thankful for the donations.

Colonel Bongani Dlamini, the Cleveland SAPS station commander, also thanked the Chinese CPF.

“We thank the Chinese CPF for making this special day a reality for the police station. The CPF has been supporting us for quite some time and their help is appreciated by all,” he said.
