Bakkie load of warmth for Oliver House
The Harmelia Gardens Air Scout Group; which includes Cubs and Scouts collected over 3 000 jerseys and jackets for their chosen charity.
The Harmelia Gardens Air Scout Group recently rose to the occasion when requested to collect anything warm for those less fortunate.
The request was made by Gauteng North Rand District Commissioner, Mrs Jean James-Smith, for all 10 Scout groups to join in the initiative.
Each Scout group was advised to nominate their own charity.
The Harmelia Gardens Air Scout Group; which includes Cubs and Scouts collected over 3 000 jerseys and jackets for their chosen charity.
The group then identified Oliver House in Benoni as its charity of choice.
Oliver House started as a Soup Kitchen and eventually expanded to include a crèche and now also provides a wide range of educational activities.
