The Moroka Swallows Football Club’s first team were at the Italian Club on Friday, July 18, to spend Mandela Day with the young lads from Kids Haven and Coercion of Anglican Children’s Homes (COACH), who look up to them.
Mr Patrick Malatsi, who is the sports co-ordinator at Kids Haven, said it was a fun day for the children.
The U/15 Kids Haven soccer team’s captain, Qhawe Stephano, said they enjoyed themselves and that it was a thrill to meet the soccer players personally.
When Stephano approached his favourite soccer player, Shabangu, he was pleased to discover that he was a friendly person.
Gift Baba, the Kids Haven U/18 soccer team’s captain, said it was a privilege to be in the presence of the Moroka Swallows first team.
Baba met his favourite player, Lefa Tsutsulupa, who is also the captain of Moroka Swallows.
