Calling all readers

A local resident is proposing a club, Friends of the Library, for Bedfordview.

Ms Margaret van Wyk, from Bedfordview, would like to start the club to assist the librarian in any way possible and to raise funds for new books.

She said members will be allowed first option with new books that are made available at the Bedfordview Library.

“The aim of the club is primarily to promote reading in our community,” she said.

Ms Van Wyk requests people who have books they no longer require to consider donating them.

“Those donations can be sold to raise funds for new books,” she said.
