An armed robbery took place in Senderwood on Monday, August 4.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS’ Lieutenant Colonel Ausker Pratt, “A 73-year-old woman was in her home with her sister and domestic worker.
“The woman went to use the bathroom and when she returned, she found her sister and the domestic worker being tied up by two men, one armed with a firearm and the other with a knife.”
“The men tied up the 73-year-old woman and demanded money from her. They then searched the house and found R50 000 inside a briefcase. The suspects also took jewellery before fleeing the scene in the victims Mercedes Benz,” said Lt Col Pratt.
Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
