A man was killed when the vehicle he was travelling in overturned in Yeoville.
The accident took place at the corner of Observatory and Innes streets on Monday, August 11.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji, the spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, the man was travelling with his child in the vehicle when it overturned.
“He was found trapped inside the vehicle and emergency services had to use the jaws of life to free the body from the wreckage,” said Const Malatji.
The man was certified dead at the scene. The child survived and was taken to the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital.
“Investigations into the cause of the accident are continuing,” said Const Malatji. @JoburgJourno
