Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said police officers were patrolling Jules and Marathon streets in Malvern when they saw two suspicious men.
“They approached and searched them. While searching, they found R200 notes on one of the suspects,” said Const Mashakane.
It was established that the money was counterfeit.
The man (26) was arrested and detained at the Cleveland SAPS.
