Jeppe SAPS to host planning session with stakeholders

The session will commence at 1pm and will be held in the Jeppe SAPS board room.

The Department of Community Safety, in conjunction with the Jeppe CPF, Jeppe SAPS, management and sector managers, will conduct a strategic planning session for the Jeppe SAPS policing precinct on Saturday, September 6.

The session will commence at 1pm and will be held in the Jeppe SAPS board room.

The session is in response to a number of challenges raised by residents, which are believed to be contributing to the escalation of crime in the policing precinct.

A number of role players have been invited to the session. Those invited include the Jeppe SAPS management, the Johannesburg Metro Police Department’s (JMPD) By-laws Enforcement Unit, ward councillors and committee members, patrollers and security companies operating in the precinct.

The SAPS Technical Response Team (TRT), council officials from Town Planning, Environmental Health and Social Development, Pikitup, City Parks, the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) City Power and Joburg Water (JW) were also invited.

For more information, contact the acting chairperson of the Jeppe CPF, Mr Navin Bachu, on 082 254 4866 or email navinbachu@gmail.com
