The new, modern Yeoville SAPS building is nearing completion despite delays caused by the recent metal workers’ strike.
The EXPRESS recently reported that the building was expected to be completed at the end of August.
Mr Johan Nell, the project manager, said the recent industrial disruptions have delayed the completion, but the work continues.
“We are currently working on the steel window frames and paving work. The east side of the of the building is complete and we hope to complete the rest by the end of September,” said Mr Nell.
He said they are awaiting the delivery of the lifts, which can take up to a month.
Mr Nell said once the building is complete, the community will have a modern facility at their service.
“A pleasant, spacious building with plenty of features and parking space will be available,” said Mr Nell. @JoburgJourno
