Women of Bedfordview SAPS appreciated
The purpose of the function was for the men of the Bedfordview SAPS to show their appreciation and respect towards the women at the station.
A Women’s Month function was held in honour of policewomen, patrollers and staff at the Bedfordview SAPS.
The function was held at the Jurgens Bekker Attorneys premises in Plantation Road on Friday, August 29.
The purpose of the function was for the men of the Bedfordview SAPS to show their appreciation and respect towards the women at the station.
The men of the Bedfordview SAPS prepared a lunch and served the women. The Germiston Cluster Commander, Brigadier Phumla Mdlankomo, delivered a motivational message regarding women empowerment to the women of the Bedfordview SAPS.
Several Edenvale, Bedfordview and national companies sponsored the event.
The companies included Jurgens Bekker Attorneys, SSG Security, Klekie Wyn Guesthouse, Danone Clover, Ryan’s Nursery, Mr Lo Piccolo, Old Mutual, Meating Place, Rodizio Brazilian Restaurant, the Mediterranean Conference, Bad Boy security services and representatives from Seeff Real Estate and Shosaloza.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, “It is important that every year we celebrate the women who are the pillars of strength at the station. We thank the sponsors who have realised the importance of appreciating the women staff at the Bedfordview SAPS and who helped make the event possible”. @BedfordJourno
