Woman and painters held up by house robbers

The painters, along with the woman, were locked inside the bathroom.

The Sebenza SAPS confirmed that a woman was the victim of a house robbery on Tuesday, September 2.

According to the Sebenza SAPS communications officer, Constable Sharon Mahamba, “The woman was at home inspecting the work of painters who were painting her house. The woman saw four armed men entering her home. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at her and ordered her to lie down.”

The painters, along with the woman, were locked inside the bathroom. The suspects searched the house for valuables.

“The four men fled the scene with eight cellular phones, jewellery, tables and cash,” said Const Mahamba.

Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
