Resident realises his publishing dream
Ronne said his novel, Payoff, was published in June this year by Sachs' publishing company, Motivational Press.
When Edenvale resident, Norman Ronne, picked up a book by an American author, he never imagined what fate had in store for him.
Ronne told the NEWS that as he was reading Jim Stoval’s book, he came across a phrase in the introduction that caught his attention.
“He (Stoval) said if anyone needed help realising their dreams, they should contact him,” said Ronne.
He added that after reading the book, he wrote to Stoval, telling him about a book he needed help publishing.
He said, “Stoval wrote back within a week and referred me to his friend, Justin Sachs, who offered me a publishing deal,” said Ronne.
Ronne said his novel, Payoff, was published in June this year by Sachs’ publishing company, Motivational Press.
“The book highlights the life of Thulani Kepu (a fictional character) who rises from a previously disadvantaged background to become a respected internal audit manager in a large corporation. When he discovers fraud at his company, a series of events is set in motion that turns his world upside down. This novel also gives a vivid insight into the world of internal audits in business, as well as organised crime,” said Ronne.
