A 49-year-old man was arrested by the Jeppe SAPS for allegedly raping his niece.
The 35-year-old victim claimed she was sleeping in her room in Bertrams when the suspect came and opened the door.
The uncle is reported to have entered her room. He then sat on the edge of her bed, chatting to her.
The victim claims she began to feel dizzy and then fell asleep. She woke up with the suspect raping her.
According to the victim, she tried to push him off her and call for help, but she felt weak.
After the incident, the victim called her boyfriend who took her to the police. A case was opened.
According to Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi, the suspect was arrested and will appear in court soon. Police investigations are continuing.
