The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said the victim was hanging her washing on the washing line when she heard someone trying to break down the front door.
“She screamed in an attempt to alert the neighbours, but three men appeared. Two suspects pointed firearms at her. The two with guns were wearing balaclavas and gloves, while the third suspect was carrying a crowbar. The suspects ordered the victim into the lounge and then proceeded to ransack her house,” said Const Mashakane.
She said the men stole a laptop and a television set.
Const Mashakane said the men fled in the victim’s silver Renault Scenic.
