Suspect (41) arrested for murder

A 41-year-old man was arrested for murder in Yeoville on Saturday, January 24.

According to Constable Thabo Malatji, from the Yeoville SAPS, police officers received a call regarding a murder in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police officers proceeded to a house in Becker Street, Yeoville.

Const Malatji said, on arrival, the officers found a man with multiple stab wounds to the upper body.

Paramedics were called to the scene and the victim was declared dead on the scene.

Const Malatji said a suspect was located and arrested on Saturday morning in Yeoville.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
