New chairman for I love Kensington Association

The EXPRESS met with Mr De Munnik on Wednesday, when he said the new committee will have its first meeting on Thursday.

The I Love Kensington Association’s (Ilka) annual general meeting was held on March 21 when a new chairperson was elected.

The meeting, held at the Rhodes Park Community Centre, saw Mr Tony de Munnik elected as the new chairman of Ilka.

A new committee was also voted in.

The new Ilka executive committee thanked the outgoing Ilka committee for its service to Ilka and the community.

One of the main objectives of the new committee is to make positive changes in the suburb with a focus on a safer and cleaner Kensington.

The Ilka executive thanked its members for their support and commended and thanked the new Ilka members for showing their commitment to the suburb by attending the AGM.
