A man was hijacked by four men in a taxi as he was driving towards the Roberts Avenue and King Edward Street intersection on March 25, shortly after 8pm.
According to the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, the man slowed down as he was approaching the intersection.
“Two of the four occupants, who were in a taxi that was driving parallel to him, jumped out and pointed firearms at him. They demanded his car keys. He exited the car and ran away. The men drove away in his car which was later discovered in Soweto. One man was also arrested in Soweto,” said Const Mashakane.
