A gardener walked in on house robbers at a house in Derby Street, Kensington.
The incident took place on April 21, shortly after 10am.
The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said a domestic worker was in the house when three men entered, armed with firearms.
“One of the suspects also had a sharp object in his hand. The domestic worker was ordered to sit on a couch while the men ransacked the house. When the gardener entered the house, he was tied up and also ordered to sit on the couch,” said Const Mashakane.
The suspects stole a television set and jewellery before fleeing the scene.
