Marion Scher coming to Writers 2000
Writers 2000 will host award-winning author and journalist Marion Scher at its monthly meeting on May 30.
Writers 2000 will host award-winning author and journalist Marion Scher at its monthly meeting on May 30.
The meeting will begin at 2pm.
Ms Scher has spent many years in the television, radio and print industry.
She is active as a trainer at the newsrooms of both 702 and eNCA.
Mr Garth Coetzer, of Writers 2000, said their members are thrilled that Ms Scher will be a guest speaker at their meeting.
“Our members are anticipating a great afternoon of interesting listening and learning,” he said.
On the day, Ms Scher will address Writers 2000 on the subject of ghost writing.
She has ghost written three books and is busy on a fourth one.
Ms Scher is also a judge of the three top media awards in the country; the PICA Awards, the Admag Awards and the National Press Club Journalist of the Year Award.
Visitors and prospective new members are welcome.
The meeting will take place at the Inyoni Creek Clubhouse at Rand Aid Complex.
