Illiondale report open for comment

The Draft Basic Assessment Report will be available from August 26 to September 25 for perusal and comment.

All interested and affected parties are notified of the availability of the basic draft assessment report regarding the Illiondale wetland rehabilitation project.

The Draft Basic Assessment Report will be available from August 26 to September 25 for perusal and comment.

To ensure the public is identified and registered as an interested or affected party, and to comment on the Draft Basic Assessment Report, the public should submit their name, contact details and their comment, in writing or telephonically, to the Environmental Impact Management Services (Pty) Ltd (EIMS) by September 25.

The public’s input with regards to the Draft Basic Assessment Report will be incorporated into the comments and responses report.

It will form part of the final Basic Assessment Report to be submitted to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD).

Copies of the Final Basic Assessment Report, after completion, will be made available on the EIMS website (www.eims.co.za).

Following submission of the final Basic Assessment Report, the GDARD will make a decision to either accept or reject the application for Environmental Authorisation. Copies of the Draft Basic Assessment Report can also be downloaded from the EIMS website on August 26, at noon.

The public can send information, objections, comments and/or concerns (including the reference number 1080) to Environmental Impact Management Services (Pty) Ltd, PO Box 2083, Pinegowrie, 2123.
