Employees receive recognition for long service

The employees' contributions were recognised at the NPO’s long service awards, which were held on August 27.

The Rand Aid Association honoured 25 employees who have 250 years of service between them.

The employees’ contributions were recognised at the NPO’s long service awards, which were held on August 27.

The top award at the 2015 ceremony went to Mr Frans Mpete, who has been part of Rand Aid for 40 years.

Mr Mpete, Mr David Makhubele and Mr Samuel Masindi have an impressive 20 years of service each.

Sister Connie Ravele, the deputy manager of Thornhill Manor Ms Jackie Scott, the Wedge Gardens deputy manager Ms Laetitia Goosen, Mr Steve Burto and Ms Thabitha Digashu were honoured for 15 years of service.

In addition, three people who have found a full-time home and employment through the Wedge Gardens treatment centre were also honoured for 15 years of service. They were Mr Louis Botha, Mr Richard Ogilvie and Mr Hans Cronje.

Ten-year service awards went to driver Mr Alfred Musita and to Mr Rae Brown.
