A woman was arrested after she allegedly drugged her acquaintance and stole from him.
The incident occurred in Yeoville on Saturday last week.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the man and his friends were drinking at a local bar when they met two women shortly after 2am.
“One of the men went to his place of residence in Yeoville, with one of the women. When they arrived, he claims the woman gave him a drink. After drinking the beverage, he fell asleep. When he woke up, the woman and some of his household belongings were gone,” said Const Malatji.
According to Const Malatji, the woman was traced and some of the stolen items were recovered.
“She was arrested for theft and possession of stolen property,” he said.
