A 30-year-old man was arrested for stealing music instruments from a church in Yeoville.
The incident occurred on Thursday, shortly after 2am.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the man and his accomplices gained entry through the roof of the church, which is located along St George and Innes streets.
“Police officers received a call from the security guards about a break-in at the church premises. Musical instruments were taken during the incident. Following an investigation, one of the men was arrested a few blocks from the church,” said Const Malatji.
The suspect was found in possession of the stolen instruments.
Const Malatji said all the goods were recovered.
