JUST IN: UN-branded packages seized during Edenvale bust

SARS Customs, together with the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD), seized expired goods from a factory on 8th Avenue in Edenvale.

Items found included both perishable and non-perishable grocery items.

The Edenvale CPF chairperson, Mrs Linda McKenzie, said the EMM’s Health Department was also part of the operation.

“The stakeholders were acting on a tip-off received. As the ECPF, we are grateful for all the tip-offs we receive from our people,” she said.
Outside the factory, lawyers refused entry to the ECPF and the media.
