Pupils help quench a parched land’s thirst

Reddam delivered 5 526 litres of bottled water to the Operation Hydrate Foundation.

Student representatives of Reddam House enjoyed a rewarding day when they headed out to the FNB Stadium in Soweto to deliver their contribution of 5 526 litres of bottled water to the Operation Hydrate Foundation.

The initiative was in support of the 1.25 million litres of water received by Operation Hydrate in aid of communities in drought-stricken areas.

The Minister of Water and Sanitation, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane, and various government dignitaries as well as a large media contingent were present at the handover to the Operation Hydrate Volunteers.

The Reddam students, along with the St Peter’s choir, sang the national anthem to the soundtrack played though a police car speaker, which made it an even more novel experience.
