Teddy Bear Foundation marks 40 years with Ride Joburg charity challenge
As the Teddy Bear Foundation celebrates 40 years of protecting abused children, Team Teddy is gearing up for Ride Joburg to raise funds and awareness for vulnerable children across South Africa.
The Teddy Bear Foundation is calling on cyclists and the public to support its mission to protect abused children as it celebrates 40 years of service.
More than 60 riders will take part in the 97km Ride Joburg challenge in support of the foundation, raising funds and awareness about child abuse.
Team Teddy, alongside its supporters, will pull a 37kg Teddy Sleigh and teddy-filled trolleys through the city.

Funds raised will support essential services, including psychological assessments, therapeutic counselling, court preparation and community outreach programmes for abused children and their families.
Cyclists can join the charity team by registering at Ride Joburg and using promotional code TBF26. Ride Joburg entries are scheduled to close on November 1.
Participants are encouraged to raise at least R1000 and can purchase an official Team Teddy cycling shirt for R650.
Those who cannot participate can still contribute financially to help the foundation continue its work towards a society free of child abuse.
