Residents of the Thembalami Care Centre enjoyed a family day with a braai over the weekend.

Families enjoyed a day of fun and children handed out Easter Eggs to the residents.

The family day is an initiative of the centre. The Friends of Thembalami, Derek Koegelenberg, Craig Rowan, Michael Holland, Brett Williams and Mark Bartram, made the day possible as they sponsored the braai and even cooked for the residents and their families.

“Our visitors created such a joyous atmosphere and the residents obviously loved it to bits because it was not part of their routine and they were able to spend time outdoors with their loved ones,” said Elize Raath, from Thembalami.
