Two arrested for possesion of hijacked motor vehicles

They were arrested after police received information on the location of two hijacked vehicles.

Two men were arrested for possession of hijacked vehicles in Yeoville on May 25 at about 9pm in Page Street.

“Police received information on the location of two hijacked vehicles. On arrival at the address they spotted two men sitting inside one of the vehicles that was reported hijacked in Alexandra in April 2016. The police searched the suspects and the property and recovered another vehicle that was reported hijacked in Linden policing area in September 2013,” said Yeoville spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatjie.

The two suspects were detained by Yeoville SAPS for possession of hijacked motor vehicles. They are expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
