Yesterday morning Emer-G-Med paramedics were dispatched to reports of a serious collision on the corner of Jules and Marathon, in Malvern.

On arrival paramedics found that a car and a taxi had collided head-on. The taxi driver was found to have sustained fatal injuries, and was declared dead on arrival.

Multiple passengers from the taxi were also injured in the collision.

They were treated on-scene for minor to moderate injuries, before being transported to various nearby facilities for further assessment.

The driver, and only occupant, of the car was uninjured.

Local authorities were on-scene to conduct a full investigation.
