Seven injured after alleged drunk driver crashes into a taxi – Emer-G-Med

One person was entrapped in the wrecked taxi and was extricated by the fire department, using "the jaws of life".

According to Emer-G-Med seven people sustained minor to moderate injuries on Saturday night after an alleged drunk driver collided with the taxi at the intersection of Boeing Road and First Avenue in Edenvale.

The incident was reported shortly after 7pm.

One person was entrapped in the wrecked taxi and was extricated by the fire department, using “the jaws of life”.

The patients were treated on-scene before being transported to a nearby facility for further care.

Local authorities were on-scene to investigate the exact events leading up to the collision.
