Bedfordview hosts anti-fur demonstration

On September 10, Fur FreeSA (FFSA) raised awareness about the fur trade in the Bedfordview area by taking part in an anti-fur demonstration.

Fur Free South Africa is a global anti-fur movement and campaigns against the fur industry.

The movement was founded in 2009.

“We work in association with Beauty without Cruelty SA and the international anti-fur coalition.

“FFSA is a member of the Fur Free Alliance – a coalition of 40 organisations worldwide,” said Dr Emy Wilhelm.

“As FFSA we educate consumers and retailers about all the aspects of the trade in fur as well as investigating mislabelling and false advertising.

“We also raise awareness through demonstrations and through social media,” said Dr Wilhelm.
