Man arrested at Mangolongolo informal settlement

CLEVELAND – A man is arrested for house robbery.

Cleveland police officers arrested one suspect for a house robbery at Mangolongolo informal settlement in Denver, on 2 October.

“The complainant was sleeping in his bed when he heard someone kicking his shack door. Then two males entered the shack and one allegedly pointed a firearm at him. It is said they then took his wallet with R1 200 cash inside and went out again. The complainant followed the men outside, after which the one suspect allegedly shot him. He was then taken to hospital. The suspects are known to the victim,” said Cleveland SAPS Spokesperson Captain Johan Jordaan

“After investigations, Cleveland detectives arrested one suspect for house robbery. He will appear in court soon while investigations continue.”
