A shoot-out between reaction officers and armed robbers on Homestead Road in Edenvale has left one suspect dead.
A further four were arrested. Some had sustained non-life threatening gun shot wounds.
The men have been linked to a residential robbery in Croydon earlier this morning.
The shoot-out follows a high speed chase between Mamba reaction officers and the suspects.
The area has been closed off to the public as the crime scene is processed.
