Bedfordview Rotarians host Hillsong Africa Foundation guests
The event was held at the Belgravia Bowling Club in Bedfordview.
On June 13, the Rotary Club of Bedfordview hosted guest speaker Simone Naidoo, as well as Roxanne Jason from Hillsong Africa Foundation (HAF).
The event was held at the Belgravia Bowling Club in Bedfordview.
Naidoo gave a presentation to the Rotarians and their guests on the foundation and its vision of “building lives that will build the nation.”
Many other projects were discussed, including the the Disaster Relief Project.
This is a project where the foundation works in partnership with the City of Cape Town Disaster Response and Relief Team. Together they provide affected families with emergency shelter and life-saving supplies such as food, medical care and basic supplies to help communities survive the immediate aftermath of a crisis.
Rotarian Ferdi Heyneke said it was amazing to see what could emerge from small beginnings, with perseverance.
A token of appreciation was handed to Naidoo by Rotarian Heyneke for giving her time talking to the club members and guests about the foundation’s projects.
