Church wants to do even more for the community

JOBURG – 'The community can help the church by giving us leads to reach out to the less fortunate, as we don’t know every corner.'

Lindsay Peters is president at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Malvern.

He has been president since 2014 and has been staying in Malvern for 12 years.

The church give soup and snacks to residents of Jumpas informal settlement every month. They also assist at Cotlands every Wednesday.

“We face challenges of reaching out to all the less fortunate in Malvern. The community can help the church by giving us leads to reach out to the less fortunate, as we don’t know every corner,” said Peters.

The Catholic Church also caters for Mother Theresa Home and Nazareth House in Yeoville.
